Maybe you ate at your desk while you worked? Cruised through Facebook or Instagram? Or worse yet…didn’t take a lunch at all! It is time to change that! Getting up and away from your desk will benefit you in so many ways and there are so many options of what to do! Get out and go for a walk, not only will some fresh air leave you feeling refreshed and happier but getting your blood pumping will wake you up and burn a few extra calories. Raining outside? Climb your buildings stairs-15 minutes is all it takes! Maybe you don’t have stairs? Do a few jumping jacks, a 30 second plank, 10 squats and 10 pushups in your office. There is no need to do this alone either…get everyone in the office involved, it will make it more fun!
This came to me today as it was such a beautiful Indian summer day, that it felt like a shame to waste it indoors. So I picked a street and just started walking! I felt awake, happy and (really) hungry, making my salad seem just that much better! I found this beautiful spot along the Muskoka River to eat my lunch and then headed back to work.
